When to Use Different Types of GND Filters?
-
Soft GND Filter: Suitable for scenes where the light contrast between the sky and the ground is relatively large. It’s perfect for situations where the ground is normally exposed, but the sky is overexposed. Available in GND0.6, GND0.9, GND1.2, GND1.5, and GND1.8.
-
Hard GND Filter: Ideal for landscapes with clear boundaries between dark and light areas, such as the horizon line. It helps balance the exposure between the bright sky and the darker land. Available in GND0.6, GND0.9, GND1.2, and GND1.5.
-
Reverse GND Filter: Suitable for shooting sunrise and sunset images where the light is strong in the middle and gradually weakens on both sides. This filter helps to control the bright light in the center of the frame. Available in GND0.6, GND0.9, GND1.2, and GND1.5.
- Center GND Filter: Ideal for sunsets near or on the horizon line, creating a bright area along that line. This filter helps to control the extreme brightness in the center of the frame. Available in GND0.6, GND0.9, GND1.2, and GND1.5.

Saving Time
REVORING and REVORING VND + CPL can save time lost when switching filters. For example, suppose you start shooting with the 24-70mm lens and decide to switch to the 70-200mm halfway through. the two lenses may have different filter diameters. In this case, the filters should be changed or adjusted using a step ring. This is especially true if you need more than one ring, or if the screw is stuck and cannot be removed. Every photographer must have experienced this frustration. With REVORING, simply unscrew one lens and screw on the other. How easy it is to switch lenses on the REVORING sample and how it saves time on the shoot. (See the video below.)
