RevoRing Variable ND+CPL Filter | Choice for Photography Enthusiasts

Hello, today I'm going to talk about H&Y RevoRing MKII variable ND+CPL filter. I have to say, their variable mount design is truly cutting-edge technology.

In the past, when using lenses with different mounts, we had to buy a whole set of filters for each mount, such as ND, and CPL filters. Not only were there many filters, but they were also very expensive.

Therefore, filters used to seem to be a "luxury" that only wealthy landscape photographers could afford. But now, H&Y REVORING Variable Neutral Density + Circular Polarizer Filter has changed that.

Its variable mount range is between 67-82mm, which can save us a lot of money. Next, let's talk about the user experience of this filter.

H&Y ND filters support up to 10 stops of adjustment. When shooting with Fujifilm, such as using the DR400, a higher ISO is needed. Combining this with the 1.2 generation optical bokeh and the added 1/4" magnetic black filter instantly creates a cinematic feel.

While CPL filters are used relatively less, they effectively reduce reflections, producing excellent results for both photos and videos.

It's worth mentioning that their black soft filter can be magnetically attached, so those who prioritize ultimate image quality can choose not to install it.

Adjusting the filter size is also simple. Just pinch the two edges of the filter to adjust its size, then place it in front of the lens and release. Next, rotate it one to one and a half full turns until it feels firm. Finally, tighten the screw on top. This way, no matter how much you shake it, the filter won't fall off; it will be securely locked in place.

To remove the filter, simply loosen the screw and unscrew it. It's fantastic that this filter can be used with lenses of different sizes.

However, this filter does have one minor drawback: its carrying case is a bit "ugly." But thankfully, it's extremely thin, fitting easily into a bag unlike those bulky square cases.

Furthermore, its magnetic filter cap deserves praise. Firstly, the workmanship is excellent, and secondly, it has a flocked edge, which not only protects the lens from scratches but also makes cleaning the lens easy.
