New Experience Of Using H&Y EVO VND+CPL Filters

In the vast world of landscape photography, lens filters are undoubtedly an indispensable magical tool for photographers, as they can give images a unique flavor and emotion.

However, for landscape photography enthusiasts in pursuit of lightness and efficiency, the traditional insert filters often become a small burden during the journey due to their bulky size and cumbersome installation.

On the magnificent and changeable plateau of Gannan, facing the thin air and sudden gusts of wind at high altitude, I carefully selected H&Y EVO Series filter system as my shooting partner. This innovative design perfectly suits my pursuit of portability and speedy operation.

The H&Y EVO series is a masterpiece, and the set of filters I got includes adjustable ND filters, GND16 filters, magnetic filter caps, and magnetic adapters for a variety of lenses, all of which are designed in an amazingly subtle way.

With its excellent light reduction ability, the Adjustable ND filters demonstrates extraordinary creativity in capturing dreamy scenes of cloudy and gurgling water, making the clouds dance and the water flow briskly, adding to the dynamic beauty of the image.

It is worth mentioning that this adjustable ND filter from H&Y is an innovative two-in-one dual-mode design, which is a two-in-one filter designed by combining the functions of an adjustable reducer + polarizer, and at the same time, it can meet the two mounting modes of screwing threads and magnetic suction.

In Gannan every shooting, in the installation of filters, I only need to gently put, the filter will be firmly adsorbed on top of the lens, eliminating the need for cumbersome installation steps and dependence on the filter holder.

And this filter can be used alone adjustable ND filter or CPL filter function, you can also combine the use of these two functions, in the combination of the use of the first screwed to the lens and then magnetic suction filter, you must first adjust the ND filter and then adjust the CPL filter is superimposed on the effect of the use of the same, if you adjust the CPL filter and then adjust the ND filter, the effect of the CPL will disappear.

This dual-mode installation allows me to freely switch filters according to the shooting scene, but also can continue to stack filters, such as black mist filter, ND filter, GND filter and other filters.

For this shoot I chose a gradient lens that magnetically stacks to both reduce and balance the light ratio. This set of filters not only greatly improves the shooting efficiency, but also saves my precious energy and time in the harsh environment of the plateau, making the shooting process more smooth and enjoyable.

After experiencing it for a while, I found that the adjustable ND filters can solve the problem of focusing in a dark light environment. It allows me to focus easily in a low ND gear first, and then quickly adjust to the desired high gear for shooting, which completely solves the problem of inconvenient focusing of the traditional ND filters in dark light, and greatly improves the efficiency and success rate of shooting.

In addition, in the midday when the light contrast is strong, the GND filter became my right-hand man, which can accurately control the exposure balance between the sky and the ground, avoiding the problem of overexposure of highlights and loss of details in the dark areas.

Compared with later adjustments, using GND filters can more directly and efficiently preserve the real light and shadow effects of the scene, while reducing the dependence on the camera's latitude and ensuring high-quality output of the photos.

All in all, H&Y EVO Series filter system has become an indispensable shooting tool for my trip to Gannan with its excellent performance, convenient operation and innovative design.

It not only enhances my shooting efficiency and creative freedom, but also allows me to capture those fleeting moments of natural beauty with each soft click of the shutter.
